Alapaha
(PP 16266)
Named
for the Alapaha River in GA,
its combination of early ripening and late
flowering results in high frost resistance. Flavorful, high quality
berries with excellent firmness. Consistently large crops on upright
vigorous plants.
Austin
A new release from Georgia, Austin is an excellent early blueberry blooming
and ripening with Climax yet exceeding yields. The medium-large fruit have good flavor and color. The shrub has an open
and upright habit.
Climax
Ripening
early, these berries are medium to large with a dark blue color and a very
good flavor. Climax has concentrated ripening with few shriveled or overripe
fruit. The shrub has an open and upright habit.
Delite
A
late ripening variety, Delite has excellent flavor, not sharply acid. Though
they can be eaten greener than other varieties, the berries are light blue
to reddish-blue when ripe. The shrub is vigorous and upright.
Powder Blue
Powder Blue has reliable crops of large berries
because of its spring frost resistance. The light blue, firm fruit hang in
clusters, resist cracking and hold a sweet flavor. The shrub is vigorous
and upright. Ripens in mid-late season.
Premier
Bumper crops are produced with the distinctive
powdery blue color on the large firm berries. The flavor is excellent, and
the berries store well. The plant growth is vigorous ad upright. Ripens
mid-late season.
Tifblue
Bearing
mid to late season, Tifblue is a very popular and productive variety. The
berries are light blue, very firm and quite flavorful. Plant growth is
vigorous and upright often used for ornamental hedges. It is the most winter
hardy variety.
TOP HAT
Dwarf Blueberry
A perfect name for this dwarf cultivar, growing to about 1˝ feet high and
wide. Loaded with white blooms in spring that develop into smaller light
blue berries. Top Hat is perfect for low border plantings, perennial beds,
and container gardening. Excellent bonsai plant. Foliage turns a bright
red fall color. Full to part sun, with more shade in areas with hotter
summers. Zones 3-7.

Brunswick
Wild Lowbush Blueberry
(Vaccinium angustifolium) A native to the eastern U.S., the lowbush has
great promise as an ornamental groundcover growing 8-12” high and 3-4 ft
wide. Profuse white blooms yield small sized light blue fruit, and the
dark glossy foliage turns bright red-orange in the fall. The berries have
a “wild” blueberry flavor and high antioxidant levels. Annual pruning is
not necessary, but the plants yield best if 2/3 of the growth is sheared
back every third year in late winter.

Bluecrop
One of the oldest and most popular varieties - the variety that
others are compared to. The very large berries are a light blue with and excellent quality
and flavor. The shrubs are vigorous upright growers with consistent crops, tolerating
late spring frosts. Ripens early-mid season.
Blueray
More cold hardy than the old standard of
Bluecrop, yet performs well in hot climates. Flavor is excellent in these
large, firm and light blue berries. Plants grow upright and vigorously
producing high yields. Ripens in early-mid season.
Jersey
One of the oldest and most widely grown of the northern
blueberries, Jersey has reliable large crops of dark blue, small to medium sized berries
with a sweet flavor. Very good for baking. The shrub tolerates a wide range of soils
and grows quickly. Ripens in early to mid June.
Liberty

Liberty scores high
with exceptional levels of antioxidants and phenols for your immune
system! Berries area pretty powder blue, flavorful and large with
excellent firmness for longer storage. Tolerant of fluctuating spring
temps enable consistently yielding crops. Plants have a vigorous and
upright growth pattern. Ripens in late season.
Patriot
Patriot is a new variety that produces
consistent crops of very large berries that are dark blue and highly
flavored. This is a lower growing, spreading shrub to about 4 ft., and is
more adaptable to moister soils than other varieties.

O'Neal
A very sweet and firm blueberry developed at North Carolina
State with the USDA. The bloom period is extended over a longer period of time and may
produce two pickings. Plant growth is semi-upright. Ripens early.
Star

One of the earliest ripening and most popular
new varieties. The fruit are firm and medium blue with excellent quality. Flavor is very sweet with slight tartness.
Ripens very early.
